Comm Flight Summary  (click here for comm flight data)

Launched one balloon Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 7:58 AM in Harrington, Washingtion.  Three microtraks were used (two new and one old), two of which worked flawlessly and one failed half of an hour after launch.  We chased the ballon, traveling along highway 23 until Saint John where we left that highway and headed towards Endicott.  We received a ground packet about a mile south of Endicott. The recovered balloon was along a side road about 2 miles southeast of Endicott, Wa.

Science Flight Summary

Launched the fishnaughts capsule with two dry bags of just water, no fish eggs. Flew heaters with a control circuit to keep the water warm. The water reached a temperature of just over 90 F. For complete data work up see the attached flight data or the science team post launch presentation.

Structures Flight Summary

Launched the fishnaughts balloon train in a timely manner on launch day. We achieved an ascent rate of ~1300 ft/min, which is an acceptable value. The cut down system preformed as desired, cutting away at the prescribed time. No major issues were encountered.
