Team Description

The Structures team main responsibility is for development and testing of the capsule. Other responsibilities include launch day set up, ordering helium, managing the program's cold chamber, rigging the balloon train, and filling the balloon. Post launch responsibilities include equipment inventory, problem solving, and repairing damaged equipment.

Thermal Integrity Testing Brenden, Kyle, Stephen

Test multiple sealing options on Sharp Chedder and the Cutdown capsules in the cold chamber in order to determine effect on equipment.
Cutdown System Kevin Witkoe, JT Redesign the layout of the cutdown system to reduce size and weight. Develop a balloon train model to reduce the effect the cutdown capsule has on the parachute during descent.
Camera Stabilizer Jake Liddicoat, Martin
Develop a gyro/flywheel to minimize camera movement during flight. 
Long Duration Flight Stephen Goodwin

Research methods, equipment, and laws pertaining to long duration balloon flights (>12 hrs)
